Our team at Feeding the Foothills works diligently every day to uplift and strengthen our community with our ability to provide access to healthy foods for people of all ages, genders, race, and ethnicities impacted by a multitude of life-changing circumstances.
With unwavering dedication, in partnership with Feeding America since 1990, we provide a lifeline of essential food resources to our neighbors in need, transforming lives one meal at a time throughout communities in El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer counties.
Our work toward solving hunger never ceases and does not happen without the invaluable and generous support of our staff, volunteers, individuals, corporate and community donors.

Our Partnership with Feeding America: Since 1990, Feeding the Foothills has been a proud member of Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. As one of only 200 member food banks nationwide, we secure and distribute food and grocery products to our neighbors in need throughout El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties. Our Partnership with California Food Banks: For more than 30 years, we have been a proud member of California Food Banks™ (formerly the California Association of Food Banks), a unifying force connecting policy, partnership and practice to advance hunger solutions statewide. Alongside fellow food banks across California, we work to dismantle the structural causes of hunger and build a more equitable and resilient food system. Over 50K individuals living in El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer Counties are food insecure. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, food insecurity is a lack of access to enough food for an active healthy lifestyle. Key drivers: unemployment, poverty, and income shocks which can prevent adequate access to food.
